Mascot Gaming Enhances Portfolio with The Princess & Dwarf’s: Rockways Slot
Mascot Gaming brings a fresh slot to its catalogue with a fairy-tale setting and a selection of mechanics that give players plenty to explore, even without a fondness for the genre.
The Princess & Dwarf’s: Rockways takes its inspiration from Snow White and the industrious dwarfs familiar from childhood stories. Its whimsical presentation is carefully put together, but the reel design and game features are the main draw for players looking beyond the theme.
The Princess & Dwarf’s: Rockways plays on a 6x6 reel layout, with a theoretical RTP of 95.19% and high volatility. Its Rockways mechanic can create up to 46,656 ways-to-win, while Rockfall removes winning symbols and lets replacements tumble into play. Multipliers add to the feature set, alongside free spins with wild reels. A Risk & Buy option also lets players purchase the bonus game or risk winnings for a chance to win more.
A Feature-Rich Slot with Plenty to Explore
Among the bonus features, the free spins round is described as having the greatest potential for a large win. It opens with 3 respins, and a Dynamite symbol landing on the reels restores the count to 3. Each Dynamite blast reveals either a multiplier or more free spins. Further symbol collections build the overall win multiplier and increase the free spins awarded.
When the respins finish, the accumulated win multiplier is applied to the stake and the resulting amount is paid out. Any free spins won during the feature can then be played.
Rockways Reels, Rockfall Cascades and Multipliers
Mascot Gaming builds a distinctive reel system into The Princess & Dwarf’s: Rockways Slot. Its Rockways mechanic allows each reel to show anywhere from 1 to 6 symbols, producing between 64 and 46,656, pay ways.
Rockfall adds cascading symbols and multipliers to that reel system. After a winning combination lands, its symbols vanish and new ones fall into the open spaces, creating a chance for another win in the same sequence. A run can produce 5, 6, or 7 consecutive wins, with further wins also possible. Each successive win increases the multiplier shown beside the reels. The base game uses 1x, 2x, 3x, and 5x multipliers; free spins use 3x, 6x, 9x, and 15x.
The Risk and Buy Feature adds another choice: players can risk a win to enter the free spins round, or pay the price displayed beside the reels to buy the bonus game or free spins mode. It may appeal to players who prefer to gamble their winnings or skip waiting to trigger a bonus through regular play.
More Mascot Slots with the Rockways Mechanic
Mascot Gaming regularly experiments with slot features, and Rockways is among its notable reel mechanics. The developer has also used it in several other games.
Mayan Riches Rockways
Mayan Riches Rockways has a less distinctive theme than Princess & Dwarfs Rockways, though its play also centres on the Rockways reels. Other features include free spins, wild symbols and multipliers, with up to 46,656 ways-to-win available. Its RTP is 95.10%, a little lower, and its variance is medium.
Primal Bet Rockways
Primal Bet Rockways gives Mascot Gaming’s Rockways mechanic a dinosaur setting, with a more fearsome tone. It offers the same 64 to 46,656 pay ways, but does not include a Risk and Buy feature. A standalone Buy Feature still gives players the option to purchase free spins.
Mascot Gaming’s catalogue also includes slots without the Rockways reels, but with other features to explore. Two examples from the original review are:
Fairytale Coven
Fairytale Coven includes a buy feature as well as Aerial and Dark magic, wild symbols and free spins. Its 5x3 reels provide 15 paylines for forming winning combinations. The fantasy setting, with fairies and elves, may suit players drawn to that kind of story.
Zeus the Thunderer
Zeus the Thunderer is another Mascot Gaming release noted for its features. Free spins use sticky symbols, and each newly landed scatter awards an extra free spin. Players can also buy one of the 3 free spins series. The low variance slot uses a 5x4 grid with 20 paylines.
Final Thoughts on Princess & Dwarf’s: Rockways
Princess & Dwarf’s: Rockways adds another high-quality slot machine to Mascot Gaming’s Rockways collection. The original review ranks it above the other titles, citing both the changing reel setup and its range of bonus features. Players comparing the games may still want to explore the rest of the collection, which the review describes as meeting the developer’s usual standard.
