Starlight Princess Super Scatter online slot game
Starlight Princess Super Scatter is Pragmatic Play’s latest and arguably most ambitious addition to its successful anime-inspired franchise. Players who enjoy the extreme volatility pioneered by Gates of Olympus but prefer an angelic princess setting may find this a natural follow-up. The slot carries over the same core engine, delivering a high-variance Pay Anywhere format built around accumulating multipliers. Its major difference is the Super Scatter feature, which lifts the stated theoretical maximum from the first Starlight Princess’s 5,000x to an extraordinary 50,000x the bet.
Starlight Princess Super Scatter Slot: Theme, Design, and Core Mechanics Explained
Play takes place on a familiar 6x5 grid using the Pay Anywhere engine. The visuals stay closely aligned with the original Starlight Princess: a deep blue, cloud-filled angelic sky creates an ethereal backdrop, while pastel colours preserve the cartoon styling. The redheaded princess still floats beside the grid, although she now holds a powerful staff instead of the delicate wand. Pragmatic Play appears to have followed the “if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it” philosophy in retaining the established aesthetic.
The soundtrack blends mellow keyboards with restrained, upbeat techno. Compared with the predecessor’s “Starlight Princess” score, the music is more subdued and fits the base game particularly well. During Free Spins, however, the tempo rises and livelier celebratory animations add energy when a favourable sequence arrives.
- Tumble Mechanic: Tumbles are the foundation of the base game. Once a payout is made, the winning symbols disappear and replacements fall into their spaces, allowing successive wins from one spin. Because wins do not require sequential positions, the game does not include Wild symbols.

Complete Guide to Starlight Princess Super Scatter Slot Symbols and Winning Combinations:
A win requires a minimum of 8 or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid. The symbol values follow the franchise’s familiar pattern: premium icons show a star, moon, heart or sun. The highest-paying Sun badge awards 50x the stake when 12 or more symbols land. Lower-paying symbols are coloured gems, with the Gold Gem at the bottom of the table paying just 1/6x the bet for 8 symbols.

Key Features of the Starlight Princess Super Scatter
The feature package resembles the original Starlight Princess, but the much higher multiplier ceiling and the addition of Super Scatter substantially change the overall bonus profile.
- Enhanced Multiplier Symbols: Winged heart multipliers remain the main source of excitement. They can land randomly throughout every stage of play and carry values from 2x through to 500x. After the Tumble sequence finishes, the values of all multiplier symbols that landed are added together and applied to that spin’s total win.
- How Progressive Free Spins and the Global Multiplier Work in Starlight Princess Super Scatter: The Bonus Round begins when at least 4 scatter symbols appear in the same tumble sequence, awarding 15 free spins initially.
Free Spins introduce the Global Multiplier as the key variation. Every multiplier symbol landing on a winning free spin contributes to a running total shown in the upper-left corner. The total does not reset, so it continues building for the duration of the Bonus Round.
The accumulated Global Multiplier is not applied to every win, though: a multiplier symbol must also be present on the winning spin. When that condition is met, the accumulating mechanic can produce a pronounced snowball effect.
Landing 3 or more scatters during the round awards +5 additional spins. Super Scatter symbols are not available during Free Spins.
The Super Scatter Feature: The Route to the 50,000x Maximum Win
Super Scatter is the defining addition in this version, providing the feature most closely associated with its record-setting theoretical potential.
- Symbol Availability and Trigger Condition: Super Scatter symbols may appear on every reel during the base game. The feature starts when 4 or more standard Scatter and Super Scatter symbols combine to trigger the free spins round.
- Instant Jackpot Structure: The predecessor’s regular Free Spins trigger included a small cash prize alongside the spins. Here, the number and presence of Super Scatter symbols determine an immediate, substantial, predetermined cash prize before the 15 free spins begin, making the mechanic function as an instant jackpot opportunity:
| Super Scatters Landed | Payout (x Bet) |
|---|---|
| 1 Super Scatter | 100x |
| 2 Super Scatters | 500x |
| 3 Super Scatters | 5,000x |
| 4 Super Scatters (within any 4+ total Scatters) | 50,000x (Maximum Win) |
- Impact and Potential: The theoretical maximum can therefore be reached at the bonus trigger instead of depending entirely on multiplier accumulation across the following 15 free spins. That makes it the clearest route to the top win. Landing 4 Super Scatters is described as extraordinarily rare, however, and the mechanic changes the risk-and-reward profile of both feature buys and naturally triggered bonuses.
Starlight Princess Super Scatter: Tips and Feature Access Guide
Because Starlight Princess Super Scatter combines extreme volatility with a strong dependence on triggered features for its 50,000x potential, the original review focused on approaches intended to reach bonuses more often. That framing makes the slot more relevant to high rollers and feature buyers, while the associated risks remain substantial.
- RTP Optimization: The review identified the platform setting with the maximum theoretical RTP of 96.5% as an important point to check. As with other Pragmatic Play games, the title’s RTP can sit below that theoretical maximum. Players should confirm the applicable setting on the platform they choose rather than assume the highest figure applies.
- Leveraging Ante Bet: Ante Bet raises the base wager by 1.5x, taking the maximum stake from 240 to 360, for example. The feature is described as effectively doubling the chance of a natural bonus trigger. Since Free Spins and Super Scatter are central to the slot’s larger payout possibilities, the original review treated Ante Bet as a measurable, relatively low-cost way to pursue more feature access. It also raises the base game’s maximum RTP to 96.55%; that difference was reported as noticeable during the demo, not independently tested here.
- Bonus Buy Assessment: Players can skip the base game by buying Free Spins for 100x the bet or Super Free Spins for 500x the bet. Both options provide 15 free spins, while Super Free Spins state that multipliers will appear with a minimum value of 10x. The cost is substantial, but the original review viewed these rounds as the main attraction because of the non-resetting Global Multiplier and the possibility of an instant 50,000x Super Scatter win when activated. That opinion is not a guarantee of value or outcome.
Evan Carrington’s Original Opinion and Final Verdict
Starlight Princess Super Scatter is Pragmatic Play’s expansion of the franchise with the most dramatic ceiling so far. It combines the colourful, high-variance framework of an established hit with a much larger theoretical top-end, while the 50,000x win cap gives the release its clearest point of difference.
Beyond that change, the gameplay is largely the same as the original, and the visual presentation adds little that feels new. The soundtrack is an improvement, creating a more unified tone. Players who prefer familiarity may appreciate not having to learn a different system, whereas anyone seeking a genuinely novel experience may find more variety elsewhere.
Overall, Evan Carrington’s original review for GCCans recommended the slot for players comfortable with high volatility and feature buys, while acknowledging the risks created by its variable RTP. That assessment should not be read as a promise of profit or a guaranteed result.
