Scudamore’s Super Stakes online slot game
The desktop/mobile Scudamore’s Super Stakes slot is built around horse racing. Choose a horse and follow the action across 5x4 reels with 32 pay lines. Random wilds can add wins, while the bet slip feature introduces spin-bet multipliers.
Theme and Storyline
Peter Scudamore is a familiar name in horse racing; he recorded over 1,678 race wins, earning a distinguished MBE. He then appears in this horse-racing-themed slot, where players race the reels for wins and back horses for payouts.
Graphics, Sound and Animations
The Scudamore’s Super Stakes presentation from NetEnt takes a polished, restrained approach. Its racetrack setting, crisp symbols and straightforward animations suit the horse-racing theme. Green dominates the palette, evoking the track, while each racing horse carries its own colour. Reel spins are accompanied by galloping hooves and a champions soundtrack.

Gameplay
Scudamore’s Super Stakes is a lively 5-reel horse-racing slot with 10 pay lines arranged in a 5x3 layout. The reels can trigger the Classic Cup horse race through scatters, lock random wilds and award additional trackside-bet wins through the bet slip.
The wild serves two purposes. It can pay a coin value of 1,000x the ‘Bet Level’ for 5 symbols on a pay line, while also acting as a wildcard. When Pete Scudamore appears with matching regular symbols, it substitutes for one of them. It can join any of the 4 horse-and-jockey symbols or the A, K, Q, and J symbols. Winning combinations are paid from left to right.
- A 5-symbol combination must appear across reels 1-2-3-4-5
- A 4-symbol combination must appear across reels 1-2-3-4
- A 3-symbol combination must appear across reels 1-2-3
Set wagers with the ‘Level’ and ‘Coin Value’ options. Wins are paid in coins, with the cash result determined by the coins won; each level puts 10 coins into the total spin bet. The ‘Bet’ box shows the coin count wagered. Choosing ‘Max Bet’ sets ‘Level’ to 10 but leaves ‘Coin Value’ unchanged. Auto spins, quick spins, spacebar spinning and sound controls are also available.
Bonuses and Free Spins
Peter’s Classic Cup (Free Spins): Trigger the Classic Cup bonus by landing 3 scatters on reels 1, 3, and 5; it uses 5x4 reels and 32 pay lines.
Before spinning begins, choose one of the horses named for popular NetEnt Slot titles:
- Devine Fortune for 5,000x your spin bet
- Betty Max for 500x your spin bet
- Gonzo’s Quest for 100x your spin bet
- Tin Foil Hat for 50x your spin bet (the most likely to win)
The 8 standard regular symbols are split so that 2 of each receive a jockey colour. The horses begin neck-and-neck; a combination win in a jockey’s colour moves that horse ahead by one stride. The free spins bonus ends once a horse leads by 4 strides. A winning horse multiplies your total spin bet, adding the result to accumulated free spins winnings.
Bet Slip: Purchase a bet slip to wager on a symbol appearing a certain number of times within a set number of spins. A win pays the offered multiplier against the bet value.
Bet sizes, RTP and Variance
Use a ‘Coin Value’ of 0.01 and 10 coins at ‘Level 1’ for the minimum 0.10 cash spin. Press ‘Max Bet’ to choose level 10 with a ‘Coin Value’ of 1.00 for a 100.00 cash spin. The listed RTP is 96.99% for NetEnt slot games. This remains a high-variance slot, so larger wins may not arrive frequently.
Conclusion
Horse-racing fans, particularly admirers of Pete Scudamore, may find plenty of thematic detail in the Scudamore’s Super Stakes video slot. NetEnt combines the bet slip, Classic Cup Race and random wilds to give the base game several features beyond its racing presentation. The result is a focused option for players interested in Scudamore’s career and horse-racing-style slot mechanics.
