Diamond Mine online slot review
Diamond Mine from BluePrint Gaming presents 117,649 ways to win, with a different possibility on each reel spin. Randomly sized symbols can create between 2 and 7 symbols per reel, while cascades, a free-spins round and mystery symbols all contribute to its payout features.
Theme and storyline
Mining has become a familiar subject in online slots, yet the review notes that it remains popular. Diamond Mine centres on a miner looking for riches, with the player cast as someone who can help him uncover them while pursuing a rewarding result of their own.
Graphics, sound and animation
Diamond Mine's visuals are not presented as award-winning, but the review describes them as reasonably polished and easy on the eye. It also characterizes the slot as optimized for smooth operation across a broad range of devices; that description should not be treated as a performance guarantee.
The backdrop features cactuses and rocky mountains, where the miner hopes to discover his diamond haul. The reels represent the mine, and their symbols are colourful, if somewhat simple. Animation is limited mainly to spinning reels and cascading symbols bursting after each win.
The soundtrack has a strongly country character, with the miner's pick chipping at rock in the background. Players can switch off all audio if it becomes distracting.
Top Casinos to Play Diamond Mine:
How the game plays
Diamond Mine changes from spin to spin through cascading symbols, a 6x7 reel layout, stacked symbols, the Megaways feature and its variable symbol sizes. That last element is central to the format: one reel can show as few as two symbols, while another can contain as many as seven.
Together, these mechanics can produce as many as 117,649 ways to win on a single spin. A winning combination requires the same symbol to appear on three or more consecutive reels, beginning with the 1st reel. More matching symbols produce larger payouts. When a cascade removes a winning combination, new symbols fall into the spaces, creating the possibility of another combination.
Diamond Mine has 12-standard symbols, with the Diamond delivering the strongest standard payout. A 6-symbol winning combination pays 50x the total spin bet, while a 5-symbol combination pays 25x. The returns are 10x for 4 symbols and 5x for 3 symbols; the Diamond is also the only symbol that pays when it appears 2 times, awarding 2x.
The miner, lantern and pickaxe/spade pairing make up the other high-paying symbols. The lower-value symbols are the A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9 playing-card icons.
The ‘Dynamite’ symbol acts as Diamond Mine's wild and can replace every symbol except the ‘Sack of Gold’ scatter.
Bonuses and free spins
The main bonus in Diamond Mine is its free spins round, triggered when at least four ‘Sack of Gold’ bonus symbols appear anywhere in view. Those four symbols award 12 free spins, and each additional symbol found on the triggering spin adds 5 free spins.
During the free-spins round, the win multiplier can increase without a stated upper limit. It begins at 1x and rises whenever a spin produces a win; further wins from cascades increase it again. Landing three or four ‘Sack of Gold’ symbols on the top reel awards an additional 5 or 10 free spins respectively.
The Mystery Symbol feature appears in both the base game and the free-spins round. ‘TNT Barrel’ symbols, which generally appear stacked, explode and change into the same random reel symbol, potentially creating further wins.
Bet sizes, RTP and volatility
With its reel arrangement and 117,649 possible pay lines per spin, Diamond Mine keeps the wagering setup straightforward. Players cannot select individual pay lines or adjust coin numbers and values; they simply choose the total stake for each spin, anywhere between 0.20 and 100.00.
Diamond Mine is listed with a 96.43% RTP and high variance. The review explains that this profile can mean less frequent payouts than on many other slots, while describing the occasional returns as larger when they arrive. It therefore suits players who use sound bankroll management and are prepared to be patient.
Conclusion
Evan Carrington's review presents Diamond Mine as an entertaining video slot with several routes to a payout. The free-spins feature, with its potentially increasing multiplier, is the main attraction, while cascades, changing reel sizes and wild symbols add variety to the overall play experience.
